Europe Undersea Defence Technology Conference (UDT2008) was held in Glasgow, UK during Jun.10-12. Under the leadership of Academician LI Qihu, some members of Weak Acoustical Signal Detecting and Processing Laboratory attended the conference.

All together, more than 600 delegates all over the world participated in the conference. 156 papers presented in the 12 sessions covered the research fields of sonar and non-acoustic sensor, unmanned vehicle, underwater acoustic countermeasure, network centric warfare and so on.

Three papers from Weak Acoustical Signal Detecting and Processing Laboratory presented at the conference were "The Interference Characteristics of Platform and Towed Body Noise in Shallow Water for Active/Passive Towed Array Sonar", "A Realization of Underwater Cooperative Targets Positioning", "Bi-static Detection of Moving Targets".
